Muzak

What's the weirdest song you ever heard on Muzak?

I heard it this morning, as a matter of fact--"We Don't Need Another Hero" by Tina Turner. Yes, the theme from Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. I've heard a lot of strange muzak before, but this one thing I can say for sure--there is NOTHING about Mad Max that is condusive to Muzak.

Haven't been exposed to a lot of Muzak unless you count everything Paul McCartney released post Beatles, but I thought this was both strange and music related. I was surfing BMG Music over the weekend and after one search a message came up that said:

'If you like Jimi Hendrix, you might also like Michael Jackson.'

WTF?

Don't hear alot of Muzak and when I do I try not to pay attention.

The WORST thing I've heard lately is AC/DC's "You Shook Me All Night Long" sung by Big and Rich. I love country music, but I also love AC/DC...this prompted me to call not only the radio station that played it, but I actually considered a hit man to track down Big and Rich for recording that travesty.

I guess you don't care for 'Hayseed Dixie' either, huh? AC/DC bluegrass style.

I recently heard the main theme from phantom of the opera redone as muzak. It was playing in the elevator at work, and reached the high point in the song just as the elevator doors opened. Whoever is programming the music in this place has a sick sense of humor.
