I never had an imaginary friend--I had an imaginary dog. His name was P.P. Penicillin. (Don't bother asking, because I have no idea.) He had an imaginary leash, imaginary food, and he lived under our coffee table.
He was a good dog. I only had him for a little while though--he got out one day and got run over by an imaginary bus.

All through my teens and early twenties. A different one every night actually. Sometimes twins.
